'If It's Football, It's Vital'

The Men In Black: Southampton (h)

The match officials for the final game of the 2008/9 season have been announced and it's a familiar face we welcome back, in the shape of Premiership glamour ref Keith Stroud.

Mr. Stroud hails from sunny Hampshire, yes that's right, Hampshire...the same place as Southampton! But fear not, because Stroudy will be his usual impartial self. He hates everyone. This will be the third time he's had the pleasure of taking a game involving the Reds' and hopefully his best, because the previous two were mares for him.

Earlier this season he refereed the 2-0 win over Plymouth where he had a mare and also the 1-0 defeat to Cardiff, also a mare. So it's third time lucky for him then.

So far this season he's taken charge of 31 games, in which he's dished out a whopping 109 yellow cards and 6 red. He clearly loves the paperwork!

Ably assisting him on the lines will be Mr. N. Kinsley and Mr. M. Yerby. The 4th official is our dear friend, Mr. A. Woolmer.

I was surprised when I saw that he'd be refereeing. But for all we know he could be a Pompey fan!!
