'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Megson Says Weymouth Tip Balance

Gary Megson has said that the FA Cup first round replay has 'tilted' in Weymouth's favour because of the home advantage. The tie, which follows the 1-1 draw at the City Ground, is to be re-played next Monday (14/11/05). The match, which kicks off at 7.45pm, is due to be screened live by Sky Sports.

Megson said: 'You have got to say that, with home advantage, Weymouth are now favourites and it is going to be very difficult for us. I don't know what the playing surface is like down there but it will no doubt be a full house and they will clearly fancy their chances. We are causing ourselves problems at the moment because we are not scoring enough goals and no matter how amount of possession you have, it's vital that you do something with it. Although we saw a lot of the ball, I don't think we created enough chances and once they had scored their equaliser, we didn't do enough to win the game.'

Weymouth boss Garry Hill promises 'It should be a great occasion at our place. I am so proud of my players and it just goes to show how far we have come as a football club. We'll have 6,000 packed in for the replay and it will be marvellous to be entertaining a side that has won the European Cup twice.'

Whoever wins the tie will face Chester City at the Wessex Stadium. The second round is scheduled for the weekend of December 3.
