£400k For Tyson - Is Young Nigel Having A Laugh?

£400k For Tyson - Is Young Nigel Having A Laugh?

Here's a juicy one to wake up to over your cornflakes this mornin'! 'Nathan Tyson To Derby For £400,000.'

That's according to The Daily Mirror, which says Nigel Clough is preparing a cheeky bid for our number 9. I wouldn't so much call it cheeky...more derisory.

The Forest striker has had yet another injury plagued season, that has seen his appearances in the Garibaldi somewhat limited, but even so, a fee of £400k is laughable.

We paid Wycombe £675,000 in 2005 and his stock has definitely not fallen in that time. Whilst I personally wouldn't lose much sleep at his departure, he is a favourite amongst alot of supporters and would merit a bigger fee than that. The paper also states that we've offered Bristol City striker Dele Adfebola a two year deal. I can't say that one has me jumping for joy, but who knows.
