2009/10 Forest Fixtures Released

This is probably the most eagerly awaited day of the close season, when the Football League release the fixtures for the upcoming season.

At 10am today, they did just that and Forest fans found out that their first game of the season, will see them travelling to the Royals of Reading on August 8.

Unfortunately, due to stringent and some would say, very mean spirited legislation from the FL and DATACO, we're not allowed to print the fixture list in full.

One of the most anticipated games of the campaign will be against our old foes from Sheepsville. They roll into town on August 29....ish, depending if the TV pick it up and the game at home to the relegated Geordies will be October 17. Forest end the season with an away trip to Scunthorpe.

It'll be a tough game at reading. A tough start to the season. But wins on the road are great for building confidence in a squad. That's the thing Forest need more than anything else in my view. You showed against Manchester city how well you can play. What's stopping you?
