Forest Fighting Prem Boys For Mills Signature
Nottingham Forest face stiff opposition from Premiership new boys Birmingham City and Wolves, in their attempts to bring Matthew Mills to the City Ground.
Forest were looking odds on to sign the Doncaster Rovers 22 year old a fortnight ago, but interest from the two Prem sides has thrown the proverbial spanner in the works. Donny Chairman John Ryan is now hoping a bidding war ensues for the 22 year old former Man City Centre Half, after reputedly turning down an offer from the Reds' for £2m.
Reports in todays' Daily Star, suggest that Forest are prepared to enter into the fray and have reportedly upped their bid to £2.5m. It remains to be seen if the others in the chase see that as too much, for a player who has only made a handful of appearances in the Premiership. There's no doubting that either Brum or Wolves could afford him, but they might view him as too much of a risk for the step up.
