'If It's Football, It's Vital'

It's All Taking Shape At The City Ground

It's slowly starting to look as though the hierarchy at the City Ground, are getting their acts together and after ten years of falling short in the transfer market, are finally realising that they have to spend to achieve success.

As many as 8 new signings are expected to enter the doors of NFFC before the season starts in 5 weeks time. It will be the start of a new dynasty on Trentside, as Billy Davies sets about the rebuilding process, of the fallen giant that is NFFC.

Although the club has yet to make an official announcement, it's expected that Wednesday will see the unveiling of at least 3 of the new arrivals. Vital Forest believes that there are already as many as 5 confirmed signings with Adebola (Bristol City), Anderson (Liverpool), McGoldrick (Southampton), Paul McKenna (Preston North End) and Joel Lynch (Brighton), already in the bag.

A new keeper will also be announced at some stage, as well as the loan signing of Spurs defender Chris Gunter. It's still hoped that Dexter Blackstock from QPR will make a permanent deal, with talks said to be progressing well last week. The Reds' will begin the season with a new centre half, but talks are still ongoing with Matt Mills at Donny, who remains the club's first choice for the position. If we fail in our attempt to bring Mills in, then Shaun Barker at Blackpool or Rob Jones at Hibs will fill the void. Mr. Arthur said it would be a fun summer, if they manage to pull this lot off, then it certainly will be.
