Tysons' Future Lies At Forest - Davies

Speculation has been mounting in recent weeks, regarding the future of Forest winger/striker Nathan Tyson.

Reports have been linking him with a £1m return to his former club Reading, but Reds boss Billy Davies has moved to quash any talk of him moving away.

One of the first things Davies did when he arrived in January, was to extend Tysons'contract with the club until 2011. Davies told the NEP. 'I spoke to him and told him I had no intention of letting him go anywhere. He is part of this very strong front group of players we are trying to build up. As far as I am concerned there can be as much speculation as you like. We have no intention of letting Nathan Tyson go because he is the type of player we need and will complement the players we have got.'

Tyson could have been forgiven for thinking he was on his way, following the arrival of Adebola and McGoldrick and the hopeful addition of Blackstock from QPR. But Davies has repeatedly expressed a desire to start the new campaign with 6 strikers. This will be good news for Tyson, but may not be such good news for Joe Garner, if the Blackstock deal comes off. He may be seen as surplus to requirements and moved out on loan.
