'If It's Football, It's Vital'

The Vital Forest Fan Interview: Richard Tithecott

Q - How long have you been following Forest and what was your first game?

Since l was a toddler in the 1960s. I think the first game was around 1969 against Man U with George Best, Bobby Charlton and Dennis Law. Even at six I could see what a great player Best was - we tried to put three defenders on him, and he still ran rings around us.

Q - What are your most memorable moments as a Forest fan? Good and Bad.

Winning promotion from the old second division under Brian (with Wolves beating Bolton on the last day to make it possible!), and then winning the Championship in our first year back. Going to a reserve game that year and as a teenager being able to sit amongst the first team squad in the Main Stand and get their autographs. Winning the European Cup 2 years running.

Q - Since you have been following Forest, what would your best eleven be? And who is your all time favourite player?

Peter Shilton
Viv Anderson
Stuart Pearce
Kenny Burns
Einar Aas
Roy Keane
Archie Gemmill
Neil Webb
Trevor Francis
Stan Collymore
John Robertson

John Robertson is my all time favorite player.

Q - What would you say is the best goal you have seen Forest score?

Any number of Pearce's thunderbolts.

Q - Best and worst away ground visited?

Best: Wembley. Worst: Exeter City.

Q - What are your thoughts on the proposed new stadium?

Mixed feelings. I was born in Bridgford so it would be sad to say goodbye to the CG. On the other hand, IF the new stadium would mean more revenue and IF it wouldn't threaten our financial security then I'd probably welcome a new one.

Q- Which player(s) would you like to see us sign this summer(realistically)?

Gunther, McKenna, Barker.

Q - All seater stadia. Good thing, or a bad thing?

Good thing.

Q - What are your thoughts on how Forest did last season and how did it compare to your expectations?

I was happy with survival, hoped for more but reality set in quite early.

Q - What are your expectations for next season in the Championship?

Top 10.

Q - What League position will Forest occupy at the end of the 2009/10 season?

6th.

Q - What's your opinion of Billy Davies and what he's done at NFFC, since arriving in January?

Great job - he has a spirit and passion about him which seems to be infectious.

Q - Where do you sit/stand at the City Ground?

I live in Los Angeles right now so the commute is tricky.

Q - Name the celebrity you would most like to bang.

'Penelope Cruz is a very attractive person' is all I am prepared to say.

Thanks again to Richard for taking the time out to answer the questions. If you would like to take part in the Fan Interviews, then send your answers to forest@vitalfootball.co.uk. You can find a list of the Q's HERE.
