Davies Takes The Positives From Unlucky Defeat

Forest boss Billy Davies was disappointed but positive in his post match interview on BBC Radio Nottingham. Despite the 1-0 defeat at home to WBA, Davies saw many positives in the game and had nothing but praise for his luckless players.

Davies said. 'It was just one of those days. There are plenty of positives to take from the game. I'm disappointed to lose but when luck goes against you, what can you do?'

The result belies what was a very good performance from Forest, but it was the visitors who took the points. Although the Reds' had the majority of possession and better chances over the 90 mins, it was West Brom that won the day from a Wes Morgan own goal.

Davies is right to look at the positive aspects of the performance, against one of the fancied sides in the division. He added. 'If we play like that in the future I'm sure that nine times out of 10 we'll win by many goals. I'm very proud of the performance and I am pleased with the performance. Attitude was first class. Organisation was excellent. Look at the pressure we created and look at the fitness of our players.'

Forest have the perfect opportunity to put this one behind them, when they play Watford at the City Ground on Tuesday night.
