Forest And Derby Face FA Charge
The FA have officially charged both Nottingham Forest and Derby County, with failing to control their players and officials, following the scenes at the end of Saturdays' match. Forest striker Nathan Tyson faces a seperate charge of improper conduct.
Nottingham Forest CEO Mark Arthur told the official site, that the club will be defending both charges. 'Nottingham Forest and Nathan Tyson will be defending the allegations vigorously and look forward to presenting our case with evidence at the appropriate time. We will be making no further comment at this stage.'
I for one am glad the club is fighting both charges, although I suspect there will be little joy for us in either case. The fact that the Sheep have also been accused though, does at least show that the FA have looked into what happened and seen that it wasn't all down to the behaviour of the Forest players. Both clubs have until September 18 to respond.
