'If It's Football, It's Vital'

That's The Derby County Transfer Budget Blown Then

It's been a long time coming, but the Football Association have finally come to a decision on the post match scenes at the Forest v Derby game back in August.

Forest fans will remember the day for many a year. Not only because of the superb performance and 3-2 scoreline, but also because of the flag waving antics of now cult hero Nathan Tyson.

After the final whistle had blown, Tyson picked up a corner flag and began to parade it around the ground. Admittedly it was in front of 4,000 Mutton Molestors from down the A52, but if it wasn't for the toys being thrown out of the pram by the Derby players, nothing would have kicked off. The Rams players took none too kindly to the antics of our Nathan and tried to wrestle said flag from his grasp and all hell broke loose.

The rest as they say is history and probably the stuff of folklore around these parts for many a year to come. The punishment for Tyson's heinous crime of improper conduct, is a £5,000 fine and a suspended two game ban. He galantly pleaded guilty to his offence. Forest for their part, have been fined £25,000, of which £10,000 is suspended. Forest denied the charge of failing to control their players. Derby pleaded guilty to the same charge and have been fined £20,000, of which half is suspended. Looks like they'll be scouring the Confernce again, for more players come January.
