All Change At The Top Of The Championship Table

The Geordies of Newcastle reclaimed top spot in the table, thanks to a last gasp injury time winner from Kevin Nolan. Although Donny had taken an early lead, Andy Carroll (who couldn't hit a cow's arse with a banjo against us the previous week), drew them level in the second half.

Game of the day from a Forest perspective, was the evening match at Prideless Park. Nigel Clough's hapless team of losers, conspired to throw away a 2 goal lead, to lose 4-2 on the tellybox to QPR. It was a great spectacle to watch, as 30,000 disgruntled Sheep showed their displeasure, by hurling their freebie T-Shirts on the pitch, before the final whistle had been blown.

Forest battled for a 1-1 draw at Crystal Palace. Paul Anderson will be nursing a sore head today, following the forearm smash delivered by dirty git Clint Hill at the end of the first half. Anderson was substituted, but not before Chris Gunter tried to substitute Hill's teeth with his fist. Although we've dropped down to 9th in the table, we are level on points with 6th place, on 23 points. Oh, happy days!

Next weeks' opponents Cardiff, had a ding dong battle at Brammall Lane. They ran out 4-3 winners over Sheffield United and climb to 2nd in the table, just a point behind the Geordies.

Down at the bottom, Roy Keane's Ipswich are still in search of their first win of the season, after only managing a draw at Plymouth. That first win wont be long in coming though, as they face the Sheep next week at Portman Road. Reading slipped into the drop zone, but they play Fester on Monday night. They need a win badly, but will find it tough against a City side, who have been riding high since promotion. Once again it's been a fascinating week in the Championship - It's as tight as a nuns chaff at the top of the table and it's not much different at the bottom.

As a special treat for those who haven't seen it yet. Here's the Derby fans showing their support for the club. Have a good week folks!

It's incredible to think that we are only 3 pts off an auto place. These are strange times for us Forest fans....long may it continue.
