Forest To Spend Big In January

Nottingham Forest manager Billy Davies might well be talking down the clubs' chances of promotion this season, but in reality, he and the hierarchy at NFFC are going for it.

If Forest are in a position to challenge for promotion at Christmas, the club are set to bankroll Davies, in an effort to reach the Premiership. The £5m plus spent in the summer will be dwarfed in January, if the team is occupying a Playoff place.

Targets have already been identified and moves are being made, to improve the squad for the second half of the season. Everything depends on where we are at Christmas.

The coming weeks will see a number of names being linked with NFFC and as soon as we get the go ahead, we'll announce who they are. Shorey, Naylor, Whitbread and Bale, are already being touted as possible targets, but they are just the tip of the iceberg from what we've been told.

Happy days down at the CG
mark2310
i hope this is the case, as we need experienced players to progress into the premiership, though at the moment the squad in depth is not capable of coping with the premiership just yet. hope the finances are not just thrown willy nilly at anyone, as we don't want to see a return to the lowly scenes at the cg ground when the club was close to bankrupcy. yet again i have seen and read this before so lets wait and see what happens, though it it is nice to read stories like this once more. u redsssssssss
