Billy Wont Get Caught Out Again

As suspected, Forest boss Billy Davies has confirmed he has his list of targets for January drawn up and that those names are sitting on the desks of the acquisitions panel, waiting for them to do the biz.

Speaking to Sky Sports News Davies said. 'I know in my own mind who I want and how many we want. Ideally we want a 24-man squad. We are looking at three or four new players.'

Davies is determined to avoid another barren transfer window in January. 'Last January we scraped through by the skin of our teeth and the summer was very important, when we had great support from the board, but we still missed out on one or two key signings.'

That just about backs up what we were reporting a few weeks ago, when we said the club was set to Spend Big in January. With the news today that Aston Villa defender Nicky Shorey has signed on loan, it certainly looks like the good times are heading back to the City Ground. January will for once, be a very exciting time for Forest fans.
