Smith Gets New Deal

Good news today for Forest keeper Paul Smith, as he agrees a two year contract extension with the Reds'.

Smith has committed himself to NFFC until 2012 and is delighted with deal. He told the official site. 'I think it shows what the club think of me in offering me a contract extension and I was really pleased to sign. I like the way the club is going at the moment, our performances and results show that all the players are pushing each other to do better and that's no different with the goalkeepers.'

Lee Camp currently holds the number 1 shirt, but Smith will be waiting eagerly on the sidelines for his chance. He's made 130 appearances for the Reds', since joining from Southampton in 2006.

This shows that Billy IS building a squad, cos Smithy could have gone elsewhere & got a starting berth!
