'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Nottingham Forest Transfer Latest

Nottingham Forest manager Billy Davies is quoted in today's Nottingham Evening Post, confirming that Crystal Palace striker Victor Moses is a transfer target of the club. That isn't new news...but it's good news.

Last week, the Reds' tabled a bid for the Palace striker, thought to be in the region of £3m and it's believed a deal for the player is edging closer to completion. 'He is a player on our list. The recommendations have been given to the acquisitions panel and we now wait to see what happens. There is nothing else I can report yet. But I think we do need a wide left player.'

There's yet more good news from the official site, on Aston Villa defender Nicky Shorey. Davies says talks are ongoing and he hopes to secure the services of the defender, who has been pivotal to our recent success.

The good news doesn't end there either folks, because the NEP also states, that Billy is hot on the heels of a big-name player who has not yet been publicly linked with the club (we thought we'd covered them all) and that talks are also ongoing to secure the longterm future of midfielder Radoslaw Majewski.
