Minutes Applause For A True Football Man

Nottingham Forest and Swansea City fans will get the opportunity to pay tribute to a genuine football man tomorrow, as the club announce plans to hold a minutes applause in memory of Macclesfied Town manager Keith Alexander, who sadly died this week.

Alexander was a Nottingham born man and died earlier this week at the age of 53, a few hours after a game against Notts County. He spent his entire career in the lower leagues of the game.

His playing career saw him turn out for the likes of Lincoln City, Mansfield Town and Stockport, as well as 3 international appearances for St. Lucia. He will be best remembered for his two managerial spells with Lincoln, as well as Peterborough Utd and Macclesfield. RIP Keith Alexander, a true football man.

Played Centre Forward for & managed many many lower league & non-league clubs & played for St Lucia, internationally. Now theres a gig no-one could turn down. I'd go a week before the game & return about a month after.

so much better a minutes applause than a minutes silence, prevents idiots from wrecking it!
