Barnsley Tykes 2-1 Forest

Thoughts of automatic promotion are fading fast on Trentside, as the Reds' fell to their 6th straight away defeat at the hands of Barnsley last night. The 2-1 scoreline belies a plucky and improved performance from the team, but the woeful away form continues.

Forest missed two guilt edged chances in the first half, with striker Dele Adebola the guilty party in missing the target. Despite having control of the game, the Reds' went in 1-0 down at the break.

Forest went two behind, after some dreadful defending. Striker Robert Earnshaw gave away a penalty, after bringing down Felipe Teixera inside the box and earned a yellow card in the process. Bogdanovic dispatched his kick well sending Camp the wrong way.

Dexter Blackstock came on as a sub in the 74th minute, in an effort to get back into the game and he pulled one back within 4 mins of coming on, to give the lads hope. But, despite an all out attack in the final 12 minutes, Forest couldn't draw level.

There's still 9 games left to play and nothing is won or lost yet. But, unless Forest can arrest the away form, it's the Playoffs at best now. We still sit in 3rd spot and we still live in hope, but the away form must be a concern now for Davies, as the Forest can't seem to buy a win on the road.
