Forest Target 'Boro On Loan Striker Killen

Chris Killen has made a big impression at the Riverside since joining 'Boro on loan in January, so much so that both Forest and WBA have targetted the on loan Celtic striker as a summer target, according to various media sources.

Killen is 28 years old and he's bound for the World Cup in South Africa this summer with New Zealand. Despite not having pulled up any trees North of the border, he's made a big impression, since his move South to the Championship.

He's bagged 3 goals in 13 appearances for the Teesiders and picked up 3 yellow cards. WBA will probably be favourites to land him if we fail to win promotion, but is he any better than what we already have at the club? Personally, I'm not sure he is.

Three goals in thirteen is steady, yet unremarkable at this level, his threee yellows suggest a certain combativeness about his game, could be useful if Joe Garner or Dele Adebola are allowed to leave.

Killen's not on loan. Boro took over his contract, which expires in the summer. Good enough player pre-Celtic, pre-injury at Hibs.
