Prawn Sandwich Brigade Safe From Alcohol Ban

Nottingham Forest have announced, that sales of alcohol will be restricted from kick off time at Bank Holiday Monday's game against Cardiff City at the City Ground.

The club says it is doing this, to reduce the risk of assault on supporters and their own staff. The game was rescheduled to a 5.15pm KO, to accomodate the TV cameras and according to NFFC safety officer Alan Bexon, there is evidence showing the likelihood for trouble is higher at these KO times. That begs the question, why play the game at that bloody time then?

Fans will be able to drink as much as they like up until KO time, but after that, the shutters will be coming down.....Unless of course you happen to be enjoying the hospitality on offer in any of the corporate areas of the ground. The restrictions will only apply to concourse areas, so presumably, the prawn sandwich brigade can watch safely in the knowledge that their Chateauneuf du Pape wont be running out. Nice.

So if a steward is flatted by a bottle of Chateaux Dieff 1979 (An excellent year) then that's alright then.

Only if it's been emptied DRD. Hitting someone over the head with a full bottle of that would be a crime.
