Common Sense Prevails Over Lower Bridgford Stand

At long last it looks like fan power and common sense have prevailed, as NFFC announce that they will be opening up the Lower Bridgford Stand to home fans for the playoff semi final game against Blackpool next Tuesday night. Hurrah!!

Earlier this season, manager Billy Davies himself pleaded with the club to allow home fans to sit in the Lower Bridgford, saying it gave an advantage to away supporters due to the amount of noise generated and the atmosphere it created behind the goal. Fans have been begging the club for years to agree to this and there are even facebook groups dedicated to it, but apart from a handful of occasions in the past when the away following has been so amall, the club have declined.

The official site today says that they are to limit Blackpool FC to a maximum of 2,000 tickets, which will allow them to open part of the stand to home supporters. These tickets were released for sale this morning to Season Ticket holders and NFFC Members. General Sale starts at 5.30pm tomorrow (May 5).
