The Men In Black: Mark Clattenberg

Premier League and FIFA listed referee Mark Clattenberg, gets the gig for the all important Championship playoff semi final 2nd leg at the City Ground on Tuseday night between Nottingham Forest and Blackpool.

Mr. Clattenberg hails form sunny Tyne & Wear and will be no stranger to Forest fans, as he refereed the 2003 playoff semi final 1st leg game between us and the Blunts of Sheffield. That day we took a 1-1 draw into the 2nd leg, but thanks to some rather dubious decision making, we also went into the 2nd leg a man down due to the sending off of Michael Dawson. We lost the tie 4-3 on aggregate and the rest as they say, is history.

We did have the pleasure of his services for the home game against Coventry earlier this season, when we ran out 2-0 winners....so he 'aint all bad then. So far this campaign, he's officiated in 41 games, in which he's dished out 103 yellow cards and 5 red.

He'll be ably assisted on the lines by Mr. S. Child and Mr. M. McDonough. The 4th official will be Mr. L. Mason.
