Chelsea Defender To Solve Left Back Problem?

The Daily Mail is today reporting that Chelsea defender Patrick Van Aanholt could be on his way to the City Ground on a season long loan deal.

The 19 year old U'21 Dutch international, has only made a couple of first team appearances for Chelsea, although he has had previoius loan spells at Coventry and Newcastle. He's a left back and we all know how much we're in the market for one of them, having played an entire season without a recognised player fit enough to fill the position.

The paper also says that Swansea City midfielder Darren Pratley remains a summer target and that manager Billy Davies has sorted out his differences with Chairman Nigel Doughty. Today should hopefully see us find out if the latter of those statements is true or not.

He's a top prospect for us, so take good care of him. He played very well while at Newcastle. Currently with A. Cole and Zhirkov in front of him in the line he needs to get good competitive in a good footballing team. I think Forest is a very good choice.

I don't think this will materialise, though. The kid should ideally move to a pl club on loan.

if he does come - look after him for us!

I'd be really pleased if we could get him as he's a top prospect. A spell on loan Trentside for John Terry didn't do him any harm! I think he's A Cole's long term replacement (maybe we could get Bruma as well..)

Patrick VA has already competed at Champ'ship lvl. A move to a Prem side will pro'bly be better for him...as JT-Dan stated...
