Forest Prepare For Pre Season Game In Portugal

A 22 man Nottingham Forest squad landed in Portugal today, for 6 days of intensive training ahead of their first pre season friendly on Saturday.

Only two members of the squad failed to make the trip and they were the injured strike duo of David McGoldrick and Dele Adebola.

The club reports that the players will undergo twice daily training sessions, so it wont be all sun, sea and sand. Far from being a jolly up for the lads, the training camp will culminate with a friendly against Portuguese side, S.C. Olhanense on Saturday.

Neither of the predicted new signings are reported to have made the trip, but Darren Pratley was conveniently absent from the Swansea squad due to play Hereford tonight. Out through illness is the official line in Swansea. The unofficial line on Nicky Shorey, is he wants to wait and see if a Prem club makes a move for him. Understandably, NFFC are none too keen on this idea.
