Forest 1-3 Lyon

Forest were beaten 3-1 by last seasons champions league semi finalists Lyon at The City Ground last night.

The City Grounds one and only pre-season friendly, which was delayed by 15 minutes due to crowd congestion, saw Forest fall behind when Bafetimbi Gomis (8) scored although Forest should have had a penalty immediately when Dexter Blackstock was fouled, the appeals were waved away.

Forest were level when Nathan Tyson's miss-hit shot came to Dele Adebola (34) who levelled things up but Lyon went in at half time 2-1 up when Gomis (40) scored again.

There were further chances for Forest in the second half, including another penalty appeal, but it was Jimmy Briand (63) who secured the win for the French side.

After the game Billy Davies, talking to The Nottingham Post, said: 'you can see why they beat Real Madrid and got to the semi-final of the Champions League.

'We knew they had ability, we knew they would keep the ball and show continental style. It was a fantastic exercise.'

What are the views of Forest fans that were at The City Ground last night?
