NFFC Finally Have A Left Back!

Discounting the brief loan spell of Nicky Shorey last season, it's been a year and a half since Forest had a recognised first team left back at the club, following the knee injury to Julian Bennett.

But the club have today officially announced that Chelsea youngster Ryan Bertrand is to sign on a 6 month loan spell. HURRAH!

Bertrand, who is 21 today has represented England at U'21 level and has had previous loan spells at Reading and Norwich. He joined Chelsea 5 years ago, having joined from Gillingham for a fee of £125,000. Ryan has been allocated the number 3 shirt.

What is this 'new' magic number 'three?' I am old and weary, but legends say, that in the time before time itself, that a brave 'No.3' laid waste to all that threatened Nottingham, that wingers of great renoun trembled before 'our No.3' alas these stories are now told at beftime to scare young boys to sleep. Was there ever anyone called Pearce? did No3 ever really exist?
