Davies - We Deserved More Than A Point

Forest took a more than credible point away from the Madejski Stadium yesterday, in the 1-1 draw with Reading. But manager Billy Davies said the lads deserved to have run out winners in a game they dominated for long spells.

Missed opportunities were once again cited as the reason for remaining winless after three games by Davies, but this time it was down to some excellent goalkeeping from the Royals Adam Federici rather than the strikers missing the target, after he pulled off a couple of stunning saves in the first half.

Davies told the official site. 'I'm disappointed with a point because I think we did enough to have got more out of the game. Their goalkeeper pulled off two first class saves in the first half and we played some wonderful football only to unbelievably find ourselves trailing at the break.'

Robert Earnshaw levelled things in the second half, following a mistake from the otherwise faultless Federici. Davies said. 'We may have deserved our goal but their 'keeper didn't deserve that.'
