Billy Davies - We Deserved To Take All 3 Points

Billy Davies went on the charm offensive after the 0-0 draw with Hull on Saturday and took the opportunity to sing the praises of his side and all that was good at NFFC. That may have had something to do with the fact that he was infront of the Sky TV cameras and also that a certain Mr. Doughty may have been watching, but there was no mention of the lack of signings or his apparent disappointment with the lack of backing he has received from the club.

Davies told Sky Sports News. 'Looking at the chances and the play we had, we probably deserved to take all three points and Hull would have been thankful for the point.' In stark contrast to recent interviews, he was full of praise for the side and commended the 'tremendous team spirit' they show.

Prior to the Millwall game, Davies said the team weren't good enough to challenge for promotion and whilst he was probably right, it did upset a few fans at the time. He even managed to raise a smile in this interview, so maybe he is showing signs of mellowing. Although I doubt that to be the case, it's good to see the wee man happy for a change.

Your Comments

Billy, you weren't in the game first half, you were decent in the second and a draw was absolutely a fair result, your comments embarrass your club, get a grip.
Lambrettaman
Vesperman. where you even at the same game? An even first half with the tigga's shooting a lot from long range poorly, second half we mullered you. Earnie's goal was onside, we were refused a bang on pen for the foul on Gunter and missed a sitter of a header. Last few minutes of the second half you tried to nick it. A draw a fair result? Probably, but if any team merited a win it was the one in red.
