McGugan Not For Sale - Davies

McGugan Not For Sale - Davies

Nottingham Forest manager Billy Davies has moved to silence speculation about the future of midfielder Lewis McGugan.

Davies says he wants to keep the clubs' top scorer and is advising the club to fight off any offers for the player. He told the NEP. 'If there are any offers for him, I would recommend that he is a player we should hold on to.'

McGugan has bagged 9 goals for the Reds' so far this season and has reportedly been targetted by Prem clubs Villa, Fulham and WBA. Villa were reported as being ready to table a £3m bid for the player in January.

There is no doubt that the current form of McGugan will be drawing interest from others, but the question is, can Forest hold onto their man?

Do they deserve to might be the more appropriate question. Certainly the fans do but the club? Clearly open to debate.
