Davies Delight At Win And Clean Sheet

Billy Davies told the official site that he was a little concerned as to how his side would respond after the enforced break meant the last 2 games had to be postponed due to the bad weather.

As it transpired, he had nothing to fear. The lads romped to a 3-0 win at home to Crystal Palace, much to the delight of Davies.

'I was concerned before the game because it was five weeks since we had last played at The City Ground it was three weeks since our last match. But I tried this week to change one or two things around, we changed the training programme and did things slightly differently. I was delighted with the goals and delighted as well with the clean sheet.'

The Reds' now enter a hectic Christmas schedule, that begins with the visit to Middlesbrough on Boxing Day and then the crunch game with the Sheep, at home on the 29th.
