US Striker Findley Joins Forest?

The Birmingham Mail is reporting that United States striker Robbie Findley has joined Nottingham Forest.

According to the report, Forest have gazumped Wolves to the signing of the 25 year old, which hasn't gone down too well with Mick McCarthy. "We brought him over but he was injured when he came here so we gave him treatment and then he went to Nottingham Forest, so we`ll never know.
I think he`s been offered a contract, whereas we wanted to have a look at him,"

The ex-LA Galaxy front man is a free agent after leaving Real Salt Lake, so he could join before the transfer window opens in January. Rumours of his imminent signing came about on Friday, with news on the forum that he was set to sign for the Reds'. There is no news of his arrival from the official site.....YET.

Quite a good signing, particularly if he's on a free transfer. Didn't he make the US world cup squad?
