Ramsey To Return To Arsenal

Well, it was nice whilst it lasted, but after only a handful of appearances for Forest, it looks like any hopes we had of extending the loan spell of Aaron Ramsey have been firmly rejected.

According to Gunners boss Arsene Wenger, the young midfielder will be returning to them when his loan spell comes to an end on January 3. Ramsey joined on a one month loan deal in November, but due to the recent Arctic freeze, he's been limited to just one start and two short but very sweet substitute appearances.

Wenger told Arsenal.com. 'We did not get the number of games we wanted from him because of the snow. He is a snow victim and we are as well consequently. But I am not tempted to extend the loan. If Abou Diaby was not injured I would certainly have considered it, but not now.
Aaron is not completely ready yet but he has been practising every day with the group for two months. I hope that when he comes back he should be ready in February.'

It was short and it was sweet, but we did get to see glimpses of why the Welsh international cost £5m. From a Gunners perspective, his broken leg which was cause for convern, looks to have healed up nicely and it got a vigorous test in the local derby clash on Wednesday night, in which Ramsey more than played his part in the 5-2 win.

Thanks for the memories Aaron, just a shame we don't have more.
