Double Injury Blow For Reds

Rumours first surfaced about a training ground injury for new signing Robbie Findley on Monday and those fears were today confirmed, by the official site saying that the US international has picked up a thigh strain.

Findley had only just completed his move from Real Salt Lake and begun training with the Reds', when he received this setback. Billy Davies had said he needed to boost his fitness, so was probably a few weeks away from starting, but this will be seen as bad news if the results of scans prove to be as bad as feared.

There could be worse news later in the week, when the results are due on the injury picked up by Guy Moussi in the 2-1 win at Coventry City last night. The Mousse went off in the first half of the game, after setting up the winner for Robert Earnshaw to slot home. He's believed to have pulled a thigh muscle and will be sorely missed if he's out for any length of time. The Frenchman is in the form of his life at present and will be difficult to replace if the news is again as bad as feared.
