'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Davies Remains Grounded As Forest Move Up To 2nd

For the first time this season Nottingham Forest occupy one of the automatic promotion spots in the Championship table, following the 1-0 at home to Watford yesterday. The win takes us into 2nd place, with 2 games in hand over leaders QPR, who are at this point 7 points ahead.

Forest are on a great run at the moment, that has seen us win the last 6 games in the league, making us the form team in the division. Billy Davies can feel justified with the teams position, but he's staying grounded.

Davies told the official site. 'Yes, we're in a good position but there is still an awful long way to go and there's bound to be twists and turns. 'I thought we thoroughly deserved the lead at half-time and we should have scored again early on. Getting a second goal was vital but we weren't able to.'

With Swansea playing Cardiff today, the Reds' stay at the top could be short lived. However, anything less than a win for the Swans will see us go to QPR next weekend in 2nd place and set us up nicely for a top of the table clash with the leaders.
