'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Davies Urges Fans To Get Behind The Lads

Billy Davies has told Nottingham Forest fans that they have a role to play in helping the team to promotion.

Davies told the official site. 'I'm telling the fans quite clearly - we've got 15 very important matches, every three points will be crucial, and whether it's against the top or the bottom, they've got to get right behind the players. They can play an enormous part if they want to see this football club get into the Premier League.'

Forest will play infront of a full house at the City Ground tonight, when they entertain bottom of the table Preston. Davies has warned the players and the fans that the game will not be as easy as it might seem on paper and also warned against complacency.

The fans played a massive part in the 2-1 win over Cardiff on Saturday, a result that took the Reds' into the 2nd automatic promotion spot. With only 15 games left to play, that support from the stands could be vital.
