No 'Boro Move For Paul Smith
Forest keeper Paul Smith has been told that he will not be making his loan move to Middlesbrough permanent.
The out of favour keeper was told before the season began, that he was free to look for another club by manager Billy Davies. Smith suffered the indignity of being booed off in the pre season friendly against Olympique Lyonnais last year, a game that the Reds' lost 3-1.
Smith made his loan move to the Riverside in March and made a big impact in his 10 games between the sticks. It was widely expected that he would make the move permanent, but boss Tony Mowbray has said the deal will not happen. He told the Sunday Sun. "There`s no chance, Paul knows that - he goes back to Forest. I wish him well and thank him for his efforts. Paul was always aware of the scenario. He did do very well, he brought a different dimension to the goalkeeping for me.'
