Camp Linked In £3.5m Aston Villa Move

The Daily Mirror is today reporting that Forest keeper Lee Camp, is to be the subject of a £3.5m bid from Aston Villa.

Camp has been an integral part of the Forest side since his move from QPR back in 2009 and would be seen as a massive loss to the club if he were to leave. He's a popular figure both in the dressing room and on the terraces and even at over £3m, the fans would take some persuading that this was a good move for the club.

Camp could be one of several first team players to depart through the City Ground door this summer, with Tyson, Earnshaw, Moussi, Adebola, McGugan, Cohen and Anderson, all being linked with moves away from the club.

It depends on whether we can replace him I think. If we did get £3.5 million for Camp, that would be okay if we could get someone like Loach, Westwood, Fielding or Lewis as replacement. Camp is a premier league class player though, so it's hardly surprising clubs are sniffing around him. As an aside, I wonder if Camp regrets playing for Northern Ireland now that Robinson & Foster have "retired" from international football, as Camp would be the next best keeper after Hart in my opinion.

It always appears that it's our best players who are going to leave ie. the likes of Camp, McGugan, Moussi...etc and what do we get from the City Ground about BD's future,plans for next season.....SILENCE ! Forest must be the only club whose text site on Sky's latest news nearly always says, " There are no stories at present " Pathetic communication skills really. Afraid my season ticket won't be renewed until some positive information is forthcoming.
