Preston Deny Any Approach For McKenna
Preston North End chairman Maurice Lindsay has denied making any attempt to sign Forest captain Paul McKenna.
McKenna was signed from Preston in 2009, for a fee of £750,000 and still has a year left on his contract at Forest.
Lindsay told Sky Sports News. 'We haven't made an enquiry about Paul McKenna. I was with the Forest chief executive at the FA's AGM last week and we chatted about a number of things. Paul McKenna was mentioned just because he used to play here, but there was nothing more to it so I was quite puzzled when I saw we were being linked with him.'
However, earlier this week the NEP said that McKenna was a target of the club and that he could be used as part of a swap deal to bring winger Keith Treacy to the City Ground.
