Forest Intent On Landing Maynard

Several sources are today claiming that Forest striker David McGoldrick could be used in part of a deal to secure the signature of Bristol City front man Nicky Maynard.

It's no secret that Maynard is seen as the number one transfer target for NFFC this summer and it looks like the club are intent on getting their man.

Both The Daily Star and The Guardian are today running with the story that McGoldrick is to be used as a make weight in a deal to bring 24 year old Maynard to the City Ground.

Maynard joined the Robins in 2008, in a £2.25m deal from Crewe. He's bagged 41 goals in 103 appearances for City and is one of the most potent strikers in the Championship.

...and The Mirror too.

Dear, oh dear. Maynard himself has instructed his agent not entertain offers from NPC clubs, so why team's like Forest and Leics think they could get him - and on the cheap - is beyond me!

Maybe there's not enough interest from PL outfits!! We can but try, although with our AP we'll probably morelike sign Bill Maynard!!!
