The Vital Forest Fan Interview: Redbull

The Vital Forest Fan Interview: Redbull

Well done to forum member Red bull, for being the first person to sit in the hot seat and answer the questions, for the first in the 2011 series of the Vital Forest Fan Interviews.

Q - How long have you been following Forest and what was your first game?

Since I was 7ish so 27 years! Grandparents were Clough fans and Dad didn't support a team so that's how I became a Trickie, albeit a far flung one!

Q - What are your most memorable moments as a Forest fan? Good and Bad.

Good

Finally winning an FA Cup Semi v West Ham - as a young 'un it meant so much to know we were going to Wembley and the FA Cup final

SVC at home against Man Utd - he and the club put dowm a marker

The UEFA Cup run under FC

The PVH comeback away at Birmingham City in our Championship winning season - hostile atmosphere, red card, 2 late goals to win, packed away end

West Brom away in 2010 - our greatest performance in years, in the snow, and two GREAT goals worthy of being called world class.

5-2! - Sister bought me the ticket as a present, don't think she can top it lol.

Bad

FA Cup final v Spurs - I will never forgive Millford

Big Fat Ron

Home v Man Utd in 1999, players were shameful, there were old timers openly sat their with tears at the shambles we had become - the train home was a joy, a chap and his misses got on, they sit down and she goes 'didn't a team lose 10 - nil today? He went white as he clocked it was carriage full of Trickies but someone pipped up - 'it was Nine love, and Nine - one' and everyone pissed themselves laughing - the chap breathed out, gave a smile and said to the bloke next to me 'women, eh?'

Relegation to the third tier - gutless.

Q - Since you have been following Forest, what would your best starting eleven be? And who is your all time favourite player?

Ok, selected players I have seen in person only.

GK Steve Sutton

B serious? Physco

B Dawson M.

B Cooper C.

B Walker D

F Woan I.

F Keane R.

F Clough N.

F Webb N.

F Colleymore S. V.

F Van Hooijdonk P.

Stuart Peace and Nigel Clough were my favorites growing up, the latter is quite a hard thing now! Favorite current player Chambo.

Q - In your opinion, what is the best goal you have seen Forest score?

Radi away at West Brom - Van Basten-esque - as the ball came over I was shouting dont shoot lol or Marlon Harewood v Palace at home - it was Bazilianesque and highlighted why he was so frustrating, if a Zidane scored it we would still be watching reruns oh and Chettle in the Olympic Stadium against Bayern, surreal!

Q - Best and worst away ground visited.

Swansea's was very good given its a new ground - loud, good leg room

Old Trafford and Highbury.

Worst

Swindon Town - shit ground, and was a shit game 0-0 under David P***t, Ian Wright played

oncaster Rovers old ground.

Q- Which player(s) would you like to see us sign this summer (realistically)?

Darren Pratley.

high quality loan like Lansbury or Sinclair

Hargreaves on pay as you play

left back.

Q - All seater stadia. Good thing, or a bad thing?

Good - home fans only though, most people can behave, a dedicated stand ala BVB Dortmund would allow those who want to, too.

Q - What are your thoughts on how Forest did last season and how did it compare to your expectations?

Given everything, exceeded things.

Q - What are your expectations for next season in the Championship/Where will we finish?

Hope top, playoffs minimum - by the second half of the season at the latest, playing excellent football.

Q- Was it right for the club to sack Billy Davies?

Yes - I would have after the Blackpool playoff second leg - his comments were a disgrace, thanks for what you did BD but good riddance.

Q- What's your opinion on the appointment of Steve McClaren and will he bring success to the club?

A progressive move of intent that will be rewarded - We are going up and staying there.

Q- Acquisitions Panel. Good thing or bad?

Good - check some of the money wasted by Forest and BD over the years - checks and balances.

Q - Where do you sit/stand at the City Ground?

B Block, honorary appearances in T10!

Q - Name the celebrity whose back doors you'd most like to smash.

Claudia Winkleman.
