'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Reid - I Wanted To Play For McClaren

New signing Andy Reid, yesterday completed the paper work on a two year contract with Nottingham Forest and is understandably delighted to be returning to the club where he began his career as a 14 year old at the Forest Academy.

Reid told the official site. 'It was really important for me to speak to the manager before I committed myself to anything. I wanted to hear what he has got planned and where he sees in me that and what he had to say was really, really impressive. As a man I got on really well with him and I had no reservations. I think this club is very fortunate to have a manager who has proved both in England and abroad that he's a top class manager.'

The Irish international is still only 28 and should prove to be an excellent signing for the Reds' next season. He's one of the best ball players I've personally ever seen and has a great eye for a defence splitting pass, as well as being an excellent crosser of the ball. He chips in with his fair share of goals too, which will be an added bonus coming from midfield.
