The Vital Forest Fan Interview: Stabforest

The Vital Forest Fan Interview: Stabforest

Q - How long have you been following Forest and what was your first game?

Since birth. First game I can really remember was 3-2 v Everton, Ian Storey Moore Hat Trick 1967 I think.

Q - What are your most memorable moments as a Forest fan? Good and Bad.

Been to two Euro Cup finals Etc, however the stand out moment for me was the Mick Mills game, the year we won the championship. The bubble was going to be burst, they were going to teach us the lesson of what it was really like against the big boys. We put 5 past them and at that point I knew we could do it. Worst was Yeovil - nuf said.

Q - Since you have been following Forest, what would your best starting eleven be? And who is your all time favorite player?

1 Shilton - 2 Anderson - 3 Pearce - 4 McGovern (had to be done) - 5 Hart - 6 Walker - 7 Francis - 8 Keano - 9 Collymore - 10 Metgod - Robbo. I am not saying that these are necessary the best players but I have also gone for balance. Favorite player Stanley Collymore.

Q - In your opinion, what is the best goal you have seen Forest score?

Too many free kicks to chose from so I will go for one of Stanley`s runs, the one against Man Utd when he turned Pallester inside out and hit it in with his left from about 30 yards, Pallester said afterwards I was told to keep him off his right foot.

Q - Best and worst away ground visited?

Best Old Trafford, Worst Probably Oxford`s Manor Ground?

Q- Which player(s) would you like to see us sign this summer (realistically)?

Nicky Maynard, he will score goals and will only get better.

Q - All seater stadia. Good thing, or a bad thing?

Was at Hillsborough, however that was not the fault of the stadium, therefore some standing if done correctly.

Q - What are your thoughts on how Forest did last season and how did it compare to your expectations?

Disappointed, I think we went backwards.

Q - What are your expectations for next season in the Championship/Where will we finish?

Time will tell on signings, however I am quite positive, we will be challenging for automatic.

Q- Was it right for the club to sack Billy Davies?

Yes he was destabilizing the club, I got fed up of all the negative interviews, negative away performances and the strikers rotation.

Q - What's your opinion on the appointment of Steve McLaren and will he bring success to the club?

Very good and I hope it means that we can have some stability, and that Mr. Doughty will feel more confident to back him, in the end I would not have given Billy much money I did not trust him.

Q- Acquisitions Panel. Good thing or bad?

Every team has got one, it is just that ours has a name, I feel the idea is good the club needs protecting. However, a bit more urgency please.

Q - Where do you sit/stand at the City Ground?

Lower Brian Clough Stand.

Q - Name the celebrity whose back doors you'd most like to smash.

Pippa Middleton.
