Jonathan Greening......As Good As Red

Jonathan Greening......As Good As Red

Just about every media outlet in the UK, including the BBC, Sky Sports News and The Daily Mirror, are saying that Fulham midfielder Jonathan Greening is set to be announced as Steve McClaren's newest recruit.

Forest have been linked with Greening since last January's transfer window and rumours over the summer about a move to the City Ground have been gathering momentum.

It was reported by several sources on Wednesday, that he would be officially unveiled as a Forest player today, but that announcement is now expected on Friday.

Greening was left out of the Fulham side playing in tonight's Europa League second qualifying round first leg match, against Crusaders in Northern Ireland. This only served to fuel speculation that he was bound for the Reds'. No announcement has yet been made by either club, but Greening is rumoured to have agreed a two year deal for a fee of £600,000. This one now looks like a formality, so welcome to the City Ground, Jonathan Greening.
