Boateng Ready To Make Forest Debut In Germany

George Boateng is expected to finalise a move to Nottingham Forest early next week, after completing a medical with the club. The official site also says that he could feature in the friendly game at the Scholz Arena in Aalen today(kick-off 3.30pm local time), against Bundesliga side VfB Stuttgart.

Reports in the media this week, suggested that 35 year old Boateng had completed a move to the Reds', but it now appears those reports jumped the gun. He is though, expected to tie up the loose ends on Monday and be officially announced by the club.

Boateng will be the third former Middlesbrough player to join new boss Steve McClaren, following the arrivals of Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink as first team coach and midfielder Jonathan Greening, on a £600,000 transfer from Fulham.
