Forest 'consider' Beattie bid?

Much like the Anthony Gardner rumour, which at this point is nothing more than rumour, it is being claimed that Forest are interested in another former England international.

The Mail says that Gardner is joining Forest but claims that Steve McClaren is merely 'considering a move for Rangers striker James Beattie.'

He does have a proven past but has appeared to be past his best for sometime now and has hardly done a lot in Scotland, or towards the end of his time with Stoke, to suggest there is much left in his tank...

At 33-years-old, and taking into account the above-mentioned thoughts, is Beattie the type of striker that is going to improve the Forest forward line?

Just to pass the time away during these long uneventful transfer windows thought it might be a laugh to think up songs that could be recorded by the Non-aquisitions committee.... how about ..." The son ain't gonna sign anymore." by Marthur and the Muppets....(apologies to the Walker Bros ) for starters?

Love it Derbyred88. I began "ways to increase signings at the city ground" on 'throughtheseasonsbeforeus' and got to seven. Personal favourite being "Stop taking cash for pies at half time- only cheques" Try "Still not a player" by Big punisher 1998.
