McClaren still looking for more

New faces are something that most Forest fans would like to see in the coming weeks; many would have liked to see this already.

Steve McClaren, as he told the official website, admitted that he is 'a little frustrated' at not being able to bring in more players at this stage.

He concedes that there is still 'a lot of work' to be done on that front to get the squad where he wants it: 'we're a little frustrated off the field. It took us too long to bring in experienced players and we're still not at a stage where I would say the squad is complete and we're ready for the rest of the season.

'There is still, I feel, a lot of work to be done off the field.

'We lost nine players at the end of last season and have signed Jonathan, Andy and George and re-signed Guy, so we're quite a few short.

'We're searching and searching but I've got to say it's very, very frustrating.'

The new Forest manager admitted that this pre-season has been his 'most frustrating' as far of off-the-field actions go 'for many, many years' although he knows that with a little under a month to go before the transfer window closes, given the backing, he can still bring in the reinforcements he wants, and needs...

McClaren is more than happy with how pre-season, on-the-field, has gone though: 'I think on the field pre-season has gone well.

'They are a great bunch of players to work with. There's quality and we've added experience.

'They have worked very hard, have a great attitude, want to learn and the performances have been getting better.'
