Forest Draw Newcastle In Carling Cup

Forest Draw Newcastle In Carling Cup

The 4-1 Carling Cup victory over Wycombe Wanderers in mid week, has been rewarded with a 3rd round tie against Premiership boys Newcastle United.

The Geordies needed extra time to beat Scunthorpe United 2-1, with goals from Taylor and Ameobi seeing them through.

The last time we faced each other in this competition, was way back in 1975. We drew 1-1 at the City Ground, but lost the replay at St. James Park 3-0. The game is scheduled to be played the week commencing September 19.
