McClaren Resigns After 112 Days

Steve McClaren has resigned from his post as manager of Nottingham Forest.

An official club statement says. He has left the club without compensation - nor will he be seeking any. The club can confirm that the search for a new manager will begin immediately.

McClaren has only been with the club since June, 112 days in all, but handed in his resignation following the 3-1 defeat at home to Birmingham City today.

Whilst his time at the City Ground will be viewed as failure, he will cite the same problems with the NFFC board, that led to his predecessor Billy Davies getting the sack. Thanks for the effort Steve, but you were fighting a losing battle from the start.

Vital Nottingham Forest is now available on both facebook and twitter, so if you are that way inclined and more importantly understand all this new fangled dangled stuff, feel free to watch us, poke us or whatever else you are meant to do there!

Billy Davies should never have been sacked, it takes a certain sort of genius to turn one of the best defences in the division into THE worst using the same players. We'll be lucky to survive this season, now. I expext a bigger fight against Admin thiugh.

BD and SMc have both been screwed by the Board. I feel for MCClaren because he appears a decent bloke, and he's been shafted by the bull*****ting duo. He didn't deserve to be treated like that. Billy must be wetting himself laughing at all this!!

have to say, I thought he would do quite well for you, but just goes to show what I know...
