No Shortage Of Applicants For NFFC Hotseat

Nottingham Forest CEO Mark Arthur, says that over 40 applicants have applied for the vacant managers job at the club, following the resignation of Steve McClaren.

The official site says the club is in the process of drawing up a shortlist of interested candidates and that they should be in a position to announce the new man by the middle of next week.

Unlike with the previous manager, the club says they plan to make the job description much clearer this time round and that the lucky candidate will have actual terms of reference to work from.

Mark Arthur said: 'It is very important that we go through all procedures and spell out to anyone interested in the job exactly what the terms of reference are. We are more determined than ever to have a proper structure at the club and a footballing culture that will stand us in good stead going forward - not just in the coming months but the long term.' That makes me laugh every time I read it. It's such a shame they never informed Steve McClaren of the above information when they appointed him.

Vital Nottingham Forest is now available on both facebook and twitter, so if you are that way inclined and more importantly understand all this new fangled dangled stuff, feel free to watch us, poke us or whatever else you are meant to do there!
