Three On Shortlist For Forest Job

According to the BBC, Nottingham Forest have narrowed down their search for a new manager and have now drawn up a shortlist of three names.

Steve Cotterill, Mark Robins and Kevin MacDonald are believed to be the front runners for the post, made vacant after Steve McClaren's resignation last week.

Mark Robins is the only one of the three currently out of work, having had previous spells in charge of Rotherham Utd and Barnsley.

Steve Cotterill is currently manager at Championship rivals Portsmouth and his team lie just 1 point ahead of the Reds' in the table at present. His previous managerial experience has seen him in charge at neighbours Notts County, Burnley, Stoke and Cheltenham.

Kevin MacDonald is at present First Team Coach with Aston Villa and was in temporary charge of the team when Martin O'Neill left last summer. He may be the least experienced out of the three, but he is highly regarded by the fans and hierarchy at Villa Park.

I, for one, am totally under underwhelmed by the three names mentioned above. All potential 'yes men', who have won nowt - two of them have had a good go already at managing and have not set the world alight & the other is a novice - 'highly regarded by fans' - thats what they said about Aidy Boothroyd.........

If it is right Paul Hart would cost us 500,000 it will be the best 500 000 we coud possibly spend.Am I the only one who thinks we should be kicking up a huge fuss to bring him here.-to my mind nothing less will do.Get him,let him help choose his "helper" and train him.I refuse to accept we cannot raise 500,000.Surely we can just sell a donkey in January?

If you get Paul Hart for Manager prepare for a very boring boring season. Hart goes for draws, not wins. He managed to keep Pompey up during a very bad period for us, but with the team he had, he should have done a lot better than he did.
